BC TEAM STAFF
The BC Athletics BC Team Staff Program is an excellent volunteer opportunity to support our BC Athletes at a National Championship level event. We recommend that all coaches wishing to progress their coaching development apply for BC Team Staff positions as it provides coaches with the following opportunities:
- NCCP Pro D Points
- Network with coaches from across the country
- Support BC Athletes in a critical role at critical events
- NCCP Evaluation Opportunities for Club Coach and Performance Coach Certification
- Experience at a National level event
BC TEAM STAFF SUPPORT
Selected coaches and staff members will recieve funding support for BC Team Events at National Championships. The following support if offered:
- Travel Expenses (including flights and/or bus)
- Accommodations (provided for the duration of the event)
- Meal per diem (when meals not provided)
- Official BC Team Staff Apparel
- Championship Coaching Pass

Legion National Youth Track & Field Championships
Sherbrooke, Quebec // August 11-13, 2023
Since the initiation of the Canada-wide Legion National Youth Track & Field Championships in 1975, BC Athletics (formerly the British Columbia Track & Field Association) has been a strong supporter and participating Athletics Association in the Championship. The Annual Legion National Youth Track & Field Championships has evolved to become one of the Premier Track & Field Competitions in Canada. The Championships, linked to the U18 and U16 age groups, provides a important and critical entry point into the Athlete Performance Pathway for Canadian Track & Field athletes. Support for the selection competition and participation by the BC/Yukon Team in the Legion National Youth Track & Field Championships is made possible through the funding support provided by the BC/Yukon Command and the Dominion Command, Royal Canadian Legion. This 47 year partnership has provided countless opportunities for the youth of British Columbia and the Yukon to have the opportunity to compete in this National Championship.
Thank you to the BC/Yukon and Dominion Commands for the ongoing leadership, management, and financial support of the Legion National Youth Track & Field Championships.

EXternal Sports Credit Program
The External Sport Credit Program provides school credits for athletes named to Provincial Teams, Canadian Teams, Targeted Talent ID Programs, Camps and other Provincial Sport Organization Talent ID Programs.

Request an External Sport Credit Letter
Letters indicating proof of participation will be submitted directly to the school counsellor and athlete.
