Richard Collier, 13 July 1941 - 10 December 2015

BC Athletics was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Richard Collier today. Richard was a pillar of the Kajaks Track & Field club for over 20 years, serving as Club President, Meet Director, Head Coach and a dedicated coach to many of BC's finest throwers. He was a BC and National coach on many teams. And also found time to serve on the BC Athletics Board of Directors and Track & Field Committee.

Richard treated the athletics community like his adopted family, and embodied the inclusive atmosphere of the Athletics world. He was inducted into the BC Athletics Hall of Fame in 2002.
