JD Regional Challenge Meets: The Results Are In!
With the cancellation of the 2021 Junior Development Pentathlon Championships and Junior Development Track & Field Championships due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Junior Development Regional Track and Field Challenges were introduced to provide a fun opportunity for JD athletes to compete against other JD athletes in their region!
The Challenge Meets took place across five different regions over the course of 4 weekends in between June 26th and July 18th and were hosted by five different Track and Field clubs.
Each challenge consisted of at least 6 events: the 100m, 60m/80m Hurdles, 600m/800m, Long Jump, Shot Put, and Discus. Some clubs also hosted additional exhibition events in addition to these ones.
Thank you to Nanaimo & District Track & Field Club, Okanagan Athletics Track & Field Club, Prince George Track & Field Club, Valley Royals Track & Field Club, and Kajaks Track & Field Club for hosting and providing a fun opportunity for JD athletes to participate in Track and Field events in a challenging year!
