Registration Still Open for Para-Athletics Clinic
Have you ever been interested in coaching wheelchair racing or seated throws?
Is there a child or an athlete with a disability who wants to join your track club
but you just aren’t sure how to support them?
Join BC Athletics, BC Wheelchair Sports Association, and the Let’s Play program on April 16th & 17th for unique, hands on coach education and training sessions.
You’ll be given the opportunity to work with BCWSA’s Provincial Wheelchair Athletics coaches as well as National level coaches, including Rick Reelie Wheelchair Athletics Event Coach for Athletics Canada and 2015 Para Pan Ams Seated Throws Coach Ken Hall.
Athletes with a wide range of disabilities and experience level will be training throughout the weekend, from the National level right down to participants trying the sport for the first time.
Coaches will also be given the opportunity to try the equipment themselves.
Cost of this clinic is FREE!
Travel subsidies may be available for those coaches interested in attending.
