2016 Canadian Tire Interior Road Race Series Wraps Up
The Canadian Tire Interior Road Race Series wrapped up at the Fresh Air Hard Knox 12K on Sunday. The nine race series kicked off back in February at the Starting Block 10K in Lavington, and included races in Kamloops, Kelowna, Penticton and Oliver. Participants had to complete at least 4 races to qualify for series awards, with up to their 6 best results scoring.
Individuals who completed all 9 races are recipients of Iron Legs awards. This year they included Pamela Brockholm, Diane Leonard, Liz Borrett, Josh Heinrich, Dustin Quigley, Stephen Joyce, Chris Greenway, Eric Elle, and Mel Doherty, whose unbroken streak now extends to 23 years and about 270 consecutive races..

F20-29: Kendall Cowley
F30-34: Julie Quigley
F35-39: No qualifiers
F40-44: Jane Jones
F45-49: Erica Moser
F50-54: Lesley Gamble
F55-59: Cindy Rhodes
F60-64: Laurelee Nelson
F65-69: Astrid Varga
F70-74: Diane Leonard
F75-79: Liz Borrett
M20-29: Brad Bickley
M30-34: Josh Heinrich
M35-39: Johannes Raath
M40-44: Robbie King
M45-49: Richard Dueck
M50-54: Sergio Pio
M55-59: Lance Zablotney
M60-64: Roly Muller
M65-69: Teddy Boyko
M70-74: Peter Benson
M75-79: Frank Reimer
M80-84: Guenter Naumann
Liz Borrett was also the overwhelming winner of the women's age graded rankings, coming out top in 6 of the races. And Roly Muller again topped the men's age graded rankings by consistently placing near the top on age grading.
