Note: Sport specialists and medical practitioners recommend that young physically developing athletes do not take part in running events longer than 10 km. The 10 mile race is over this limit on a challenging course. Therefore, the race organizers, for reasons of liability, cannot accept entries into the 10 mile race from those who will not be 15 years old on or before Dec 31, 2022.
There is also a 5 mile course, starting and finishing from the S.S. Sicamous. This will be an out and back course with a turnaround at Lakeview Cemetery. Note, there is no minimum age requirement for the 5 mile race. Also, the 5 mile event does not count towards the IRA Road Race Series points and standings.
